yesterday Mr. Turtle and I were playing in the sandbox when I saw a cat print in the sand and was inspired to do a bit of exploring with hand and foot prints. It was simple, easy, and we didn't even have to leave the sandbox. If you don't have a sandbox that's just fine, all you need is a place with loose dirt. use a shovel to loosen about a square foot of dirt. Then bring your child over and press your hand or foot into the dirt, or help your child to press their's in. Remove the hand and show your child how it made a print.
